Curiously, the Type H van is so-called because it was the eighth (huitième in French) in a series of similar vehicles purpose-built for utilitarian, if unusual, qualities. Tattinger, however, is made exclusively for pleasure. It is one of only a handful of well-known and respected champagnes made to the strict 'méthode champenoise' doctrine and grown in a restricted region east of Paris. |
